Hey! My name is Tammy and I am the Owner & Cook here at The Hearty Table. 

My background is in restaurants, although I was never the Chef! After selling my share in the restaurant I had owned for over 25 years, I decided it was time to start a new challenge and invited my first clients into my home restaurant in 2013.  My initial thoughts were that I would open a couple of times a month to a mixed crowd, but as the years have gone on the concept has developed and 95% of my business is private parties. People celebrating a big birthday, an anniversary, a small wedding or a family gathering. 

I have always loved being at home and now I can mix my passion for entertaining and business all from my large open kitchen.

In fact my home is just one big dining room…

…from the beautiful maple kitchen table where the cooker is inset, and up to 12 people can dine, while I cook and we can all chat (if you wish), to the long and elegant dining table, which will hold up to 24 people, and if the summer is kind then garden dining is a must and the large wooden table will accommodate 16, with the embers of the outside fires, and woolly blankets to keep you warm, or just a meander from the house is the Summer House, cute and cosy, with no electrics just candlelight and gas stove for warmth.

Or maybe you are looking for something bigger? Then the house can accommodate up to 80 people and a small band, graze from our amazing platter selection that have often been a likened to  “The Harrods Food Halls”, or if it’s a summer celebration then entertain outside while I cook from our beautiful BBQ hut!

As mentioned I’m not a trained Chef, but I have cooked and been around food my entire life and I love it, my food style is “Hearty”, and you definitely won’t leave hungry.
